Sure-Grip offers a bunch of new models. Beside they usually aren’t cheap I even won’t know were to buy in germany (or EU). But worth to have a look on the stuff I think.

(Weird navigation… ‘rollerskates’ in the middle. Then scroll the little window with the arrows on top or bottom)

To be honest, I think I won’t ever buy plates from SureGrip.

It looks like supermarket frames. I don’t know. It is weird, really weird !!!

May be the classic is nice, but the others ….

What do you think about those plates ? How much does it cost ?

Actually SureGrip plates are fairly sturdy. I’ve been skating on them for 5 years now and they hold up under my 255 pound body just fine. I would recommend the double action truck models over the single action though. The single action have a thin nylon washer between the head of the kingpin bolt and the bottom of the truck. The washer wears out fairly quickly if you do a lot of distance skating and you have to take the whole truck apart to replace the washer. The double action trucks (like the Classic) work fine.

The Classic plates sell for around $120 to $140 US a pair.
